About Paul Kean.....
Paul Kean hails from Bluegrass roots, bringing 50 years of playing experience & songwriting to lend an exemplary compliment to this Duo.
Kean has been steeped in the Sullivan/Orange County songwriting scene since his early days with country rock band Montana, bluegrass band Blue Mesa & Fox Mountain Band, and Trilogy, a folk trio with Stuart Kabak & Will Hoppey, both active songwriters/ performers in their own right.
Kean also played in "Those Guys" Duo with Jeff Orts on Banjo.
Kean's archive of original material has never been released until now.
His contributions to Pure Local Honey beautifully represent sensitive cultural topics ranging from falling in love to the demise of the Family Farm to Veteran Suicide.
Kean's unique bass plucking technique on acoustic guitar serves as a backbone to the recordings and live performances.
Kean's harmony and lead vocals add a tender, intentional invigorating element to the Duo's overall sound.
Paul Kean is also a visual & graphic artist serving Sullivan and neighboring NY counties for decades, contributing hundreds of community signs and engaging multiple art galleries over the years, specializing in acrylic and wood sculpture, Dibond pieces.
Paul Kean & Deborah Anne Fisher began their acoustic duo in 2017, exploring their harmony based less is more sound in "Fisher & Kean". They experimented backing each other in instrumentation: guitar, ukulele, bass & washboard in live performance over the years honing their sound and now featured on each others songs throughout their debut release: "Pure Local Honey".
They've added a couple guest artists on some of the songs:
Lap Steel: Antoine Magliano
Fiddle & Mandolin: Enrico Orsini
Saxophone & Recording/Videography: Gregory J. Fiske
The pair travel in their Solar Powered 22 foot Sunshine Bus, playing in the rear cab area for folks at Homeless Shelters, those in Recovery, town block parties and other outdoor events, sharing the spirit of Woodstock, sure to put a smile in your heart.

Quote from Novelist & Blues Harpist Kevin Robinson on “Just a Few Old Memories” debut WPI CD:
“'Just A Few Old Memories' is a treasure chest, filled with so much more than memories. Much of what we call “American History" is spun, filtered, and without much substance, but Debbie's new CD is a picture of America's true soul, a beautiful tour of traditional music that carried me away on the first play through. While the movers and shakers throughout history build fortunes and gather power, real people work hard and--sometimes--write songs about life as it is: the good, the bad, the ugly, and the beautiful. Debbie Fisher handles these national treasures with skillful and loving care; and, because she does, listeners will stop, smile and experience feelings that have nothing to do with marketing, branding, and/or tweets. No matter what happens around us, good music always cuts through to the heart, and Just a Few Old Memories slides right in ("On the Wings of a Dove?") and makes itself right at home!"
